MTSS stands for Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
Multi-Tiered System of Supports, (MTSS), is defined as a whole-school, data-driven, prevention-based framework for improving learning outcomes for EVERY student through a layered continuum of evidence-based practices and systems. This process supports the development of tiered interventions, quality instruction, and progress monitoring in our school. This system is meant to assist in the following ways:
- Effective implementation of quality early childhood instruction
- Support staff in determining researched based interventions that meet the needs of all students
- Support staff in the problem solving process
- Identify, design, and coordinate professional development opportunities which address areas of need
- Facilitate meetings which are focused on instruction, student achievement, and interventions
