FALL CELEBRATION – Trick or Treat Street!

October 1, 2018

We will be hosting a Trick-or-Treat-Street for Spark! Discovery Preschool families, including siblings, on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 4:30-6:00 pm. Families and children are encouraged to come dressed in costumes and enjoy trick-or-treating around the school building.  From 4:30 – 4:50 pm, at the beginning of the event, will be a low-sensory time for children needing this type of experience due to special needs.

No fake weapons with costumes, please (sheilds are fine). Children in wrap around childcare will participate as a group with staff members, should a parent not be able to make it school due to work, and these students can bring their costume in their backpack.

We are seeking donations of bags of candy and trinkets by Wed., Oct. 24, 2018, which can be delivered to the front office.

The Spark! Discovery PTO will be selling hotdogs, chips, and water in the cafeteria for low price, if you want to pick up dinner at school.

To ensure safety of our students, this event is not open to the public.  We scheduled the event for earlier in the afternoon so that families can pick up their child(ren) from preschool or other local schools and bring them back to school without being out too late.  There will not be supervision for children between dismissal at 3:05 pm and the start of the event at 4:30 pm.

Halloween- Wed, Oct 31

Because we are hosting an after school event, children will not wear Halloween costumes during the school day on Oct 31.  There will be fall-based activities during the regular preschool, with individual teachers planning and instructing classes based on the needs of their students.
