Hope you are staying warm and enjoying the Colorado snow.  The children had fun scooping and shoveling snow into buckets outside.  If we continue to have cold and snow you are more than welcome to send in snowpants and boots for outdoor play.  We do watch the weather and do NOT go outside if it is too cold.

 The classroom STEM unit is now Pets.  We discussed and graphed if children had a pet and what kind of pets the children have.  Our top three pets in all the classrooms combined were dogs, cats and chickens.  Next week we will be focusing on where pets live and where you buy pets.   We do have a NEW prize box for for children to pick out of when they complete the reading log and/or the monthly activity calendar and RETURN it to the school.  We will be sending home the February log and activity sheet next week.  You may turn in more than one reading log a month!  The children are excited about the amazing prize box….so we will try to send home weekly reading logs to keep up the momentum!! Thank-you for returning the teacher-conference sheets.  I will be getting the schedule back to you this week.   Also, please know we have had some illness in our classroom.  Please keep your children home if they are not feeling well so we can all stay healthy.  We are working hard on keeping our room clean and washing hands often. Have a wonderful weekend!Miss Amy and Miss Sarah
