Ms. Amy’s Update 4-2-18

Dear Families,
I hope you had a wonderful, fun, relaxing spring break!  Today the children did a wonderful job transitioning back to school.  They remembered their school routines, were excited to share what they did over the break and seemed refreshed and ready to go.  It is hard to believe but we have 8 more weeks of school!  We continue to focus on weather this week.  The classes read the story, The Wind Blew and we made a book that will be going into our library.
This week I want you to know that I will be OUT of the classroom and out of town on both Thursday and Friday.  I am going to visit my son at collage for mom’s weekend.  Miss Sarah will be here and Miss Lynne, who has subbed in our class before.  These two days the classes will be going to the Makerspace, which is always a favorite.
We could use some classroom donations:  paper streamers/crepe party streamers, fabric pieces and some toilet paper rolls.  Also, if you have something “science” to share–bird nests, bee hives, pinecones, seashells, etc…..we could use some fresh and interesting materials in our science area.
 Thank-you!
