Ms. Jo’s Weekly update for April 10th

Dear Families,

We wrapped up our STEM unit on Simple machines this week.  We were able to define, ideate, prototype, and give our feedback about this unit.  Our design challenge was based on a book calledOlympig!  We made a lever called a catapult so Boomer the pig might improve at the Olympics next time.  We played alphabet bingo to work on letters J,P,B,D.  We played a cube game to reinforce our shape cube.  The classes measured and compared how tall we are and noticed how much we have grown since the beginning of the year!

Next week:

Week of April 17th:

Stem Unit: Music

Letters for the week: R, K, A, V, M

Shape, number, and color:  pyramid, 2, blue

Thurs & Fri. 20th,21st: PJ Day

Fri. April 21st: School Carnival from 4-7PM

Volunteers needed:

If you are willing to help, we need your help at the carnival.  If you are a baker, we could use some goodies for the cake walk.  Please call the office for more details. Thank You!

Weekly Folders

This week there are some important information in folders.  Please check it out.  There is a parent survey.  Please take the time to fill it out.  There should be an envelope for confidentiality purposes.  All surveys will be given to Ms. Paige.  Thank you for filling it out.  I continue to grow and improve as a teacher and feedback is helpful!

Thanks for all of your support and partnering with me to educate your child,
