Ms. Rachel’s Update 10-15-18

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is staying warm. Here are this week’s announcements and reminders:

  • Please dress for the weather! We go outside every day that the temperature is over 20 degrees, so make sure your child has a warm coat, hat, and mittens (snow pants if it’s snowy). ***Let us know if your child needs any of these items and we can help get them for you

  • Look out for an email about Seesaw, a program we’ll be using to showcase student work in the classroom.

  • Concepts we’re working on – J, D, eight (8), cylinder, black

  • Believe Kids Fundraiser – Thank you to everyone who participated! Items will arrive in the next couple of weeks.

  • This week the Frederick/Firestone Fire Department visited to talk about fire safety. We learned about how to stop, drop and roll when our clothes catch fire, that we should check our smoke detectors each month, and pick a family meeting place outside in case of a fire. The children learned a lot and enjoyed the presentation.

Thanks again for another great week. We’re looking forward to the week ahead!
