Ms. Sarah's Update 11-4-18

Hello Families,

I hope you are all having a great weekend.  We have been enjoying learning about different ways in which we can be friendly and focused on “The Rainbow Fish” this last week as a lesson on the role kindness and generosity play in friendship.  We focused on the letters Kk and Rr and looked around our school to see some of the many places these letters are used!

This week we are going to continue our friends and family unit adding picnicking to our camping dramatic play theme and enjoying this fun and friendly activity.  We are going to go on an actual picnic during our outside time and will all help each other decide on our picnic foods and activities. If there is a favorite picnic food your family enjoys let us know and we will try to incorporate it into our picnic.

For children who did not get pictures taken during picture day, there is a retake opportunity this week on Wednesday.

In your Thursday folder you will find laminated name cards to practice at home.  Using a washable or dry erase marker works well and it can be practiced repeatedly (if your child does not know the letters of their name, this is a great opportunity to emphasize those letters).

I have also sent your child’s Individualized Learning Plan home in the folder which needs to be signed and returned.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

If your child is in diapers will you please send in wipes?  We are running low. Thank you!

Classroom donations:  If you are interested in donating items, we are in need of glue.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or comments!

Thank you for all you do!

Ms. Sarah, Ms. Michelle, and Ms. Val
