Ms. Tori’s Update 3-2-18

Hello Preschool Families!!

We hope that you enjoy your weekend.

A Week in Review:

  •  We tested out designs for keeping Humpty Dumpty safe. We had six groups between the morning and afternoon classes. Humpty Dumpty stayed safe in all but one of the designs. Yay!
  • We had a lot of fun this week reading Dr. Seuss books. We also got to try green eggs and ham for snack. Many of us like having it for snack and asked if we could have it again.
  •  We talked about the number fourteen, 14. How do we write 14? Can we find 14 objects?
  • We talked about cones. We looked at what shapes we put together to make a cone. We also found cones in our classroom.
  • We worked closely with the letters Oo, Qq, Gg and Ss. We practiced writing these letters with dry erase markers.
  • Our sight-word this week was not.  We wrote it with pencil and crayons. We also found it while reading Green Eggs and Ham.
  •  We talked about what colors we get when we mix, red, blue and yellow together.

What to Expect when we get back from Break:

  •  Letters: Jj, Dd, Pp, Bb
  • The number: Fifteen, 15
  • The shape: Pyramid
  • Sight words: Go
