Ms. Tori’s Update 4-5-19

Hello Preschool Families!!

We had a great week back from break!

A Week in Review:

·      We had lots of fun with Dr. Seuss this week. We read books and played rhyming games. We also made English muffin pizzas with green milk as a substitute for Green Eggs and Ham.

·      We continued our talk about money. We counted $0.03 and practiced how to write the amount.

·      We worked with letters, Aa, Bb, Cc and Dd. We talked about things that started with that letter and how to form that letter. We practiced saying the sound with Baby Echo. We also practiced writing the letters

·      We worked with the sight word, not. We practiced writing them, and reading it in a book.

What to Expect:

·       Letters:  Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh

·       Sight Word: up

·       The number: starting to talk money – $0.04, Four Cents

·       The color: Color Mixing – Purple

A reminder that as, the weather starts to get warmer, Please make sure that your child comes with a coat/ jacket / sweater (please put their name on the inside tag) because we also value getting kids outside to play and it can still be chilly! If you child doesn’t know how to put on their coat or work their zippers, it’s something to start actively teaching and practicing. Now is also the time to check the 2nd set of clothes in your child’s backpack.  They also may have grown too.
