Jamie Sissenstein is the teacher of deaf and hard of hearing (DHH Teacher) itinerant teacher. Jamie had worked in the education realm since 2005. Jamie started out as a sign language interpreter working in a multitude of of various classroom environments. After completion of her Bachelors Degree, Jamie became an educator for children that have hearing loss ranging from birth to 21 years of age. She holds a professional teaching license in Elementary Education (K-6), Special Education Generalist (5-21), and Special Education Specialist: Deaf/Hard of Hearing (0-21).
In 2016, Jamie joined St. Vrain Valley School District and currently services the Tri-Town area and Erie. Outside of school, Jamie is a single mother who enjoys playing board games with her family, spending time with her dog, attending Colorado Rockies baseball games, and going to other events like theater, concert or comedy clubs.
