Hello Preschool Families!!
We hope that you are enjoying your weekend
A Week in Review:
- We looked at the similarities and differences between our senses and how Robots sense. We also started exploring cubelets.
- We talked about the number four, 4. How do we write four, 4? Can we find 4 objects?
- We worked closely with the letter Yy and Zz. We created them with the wood pieces. We also looked at words that start Yy and Zz.
- We talked about the color, Blue. We looked who was wearing the color and where we could find it in our classroom and outside. We also sang our color blue song.
What to Expect:
- Letters: Ll, Ff, Ee, Hh
- The number: Five, 5
- The color: Purple
- STEM Unit: Robotics: We will again be talking about how Robots use senses. Do they do it in the same way as humans? We are going to explore more with the cubelets and start to with Beebot.
Thank you for your support working with your preschooler at home it really makes a difference!

School News/District News:
4th Annual Book and Toy Drive: Help us put a smile on the face of a child! Drop off any new, unwrapped book or toy from 11/13/17 toFriday, 12/15/17 at Spark! Discovery Preschool. Staff will help to distribute items to children in need from our school at their homes before the holidays. We are also in need of wrapping paper, tape, and bows. Families being assisted have not asked for assistance, don’t know that it is coming, and packages are delivered anonymously on doorsteps.
Help us to TAKE ACTION in our local community! Parents who work could consider having their workplace help us in this community service project too!
Community Resources: We have information to connect families with local agencies regarding mental health, child nutrition, physical fitness, food bank, child find, medical and dental resources, in several locations:
1) In a notebook in the front office,
2) In our parent flyer stand at the front entrance
3) On our school website at http://sdpk.svvsd.org/
4) The black table at the front of the school also has activity packets for parents to take in English and Spanish (when possible)
Please let me know if you have any questions.
