Hello families, I hope you have been having a great week. We have certainly been having a fun week and productive week in preschool. I would like to remind you all that we will be going outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and mountain views. Please make sure you child has appropriate clothing for the weather. Also, we would really appreciate it if you would write their name in their coats and hats. Things can get mixed up with so many children. This week we practiced categorizing and grouping toys into different groups. For example, by color, size, shape, mode of transportation, adult, children, pets, etc. On Tuesday, we did children’s yoga which the students really enjoyed. On Wednesday, we played with pattern blocks and practiced shape recognition, and combing shapes to make new shapes. We have been reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears all week, and will be letting student retell the story with felt-board pieces on Thursday. We have been seeing so much growth in our students!! Next week, will be a winter themed week, with arts and crafts, and a variety of Gingerbread Man activities. Kindergarten registration starts on December 2nd.
