What a fun week we have had in preschool! Our students are really enjoying the pet’s unit, and next week will be our last week with this unit. Next week will be our design challenge week, and our students will be planning, drawing, and creating their own pet carrier. We are excited to see what the students come up with. This week we did a syllable pet game, this gave studentsthe opportunity to count/clap/stomp out they syllables in different pet names such as: cat, dog, rabbit, turtle, etc. On Tuesday, we did our weekly music and movement activity. For our math small group on Wednesday, we did a graphing exercise, this allowed us to practice counting, 1:1 correspondence, number recognition, and early number sense. Afterwards, we did this as a whole class activity where students could tape a visual of a cat, a dog, or a different pet they have at their house. Wow! We have a lot of dog lovers in our class. On Thursday, we our doing our social-emotional curriculum to practice identifying our feelings. Additionally, we have noticed an increase in “potty words” from ourstudents. Obviously, we are doing our best to discourage this. Please reinforce this with you child at home. Upcoming Events-• March 8th- Daylights Savings• March 16-19 Dr. Seuss week• March 20-29 Spring Break!
