CARNIVAL – MAY 17, 2024

Volunteers are still needed to run carnival games, donate cakes, set up, clean up, and so on. Families can sign up to help here to help: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E044FAFAF29A2F94-49194500-spark#/

As you can see in the sign-up-genius link, we still have plenty of need for volunteers for this school-wide event, which is next week. Lack of volunteers will cause us to have to decrease the number of carnival games for kids to play, which will increase lines at the game stations that are available. Please help out your child’s teacher by volunteering.

Colorado Water Stories

We are Colorado Water Stories, an arts and environmental project based in Longmont. We are writing to invite your students, families, and faculty to join us at the Longmont Water Fair on SUNDAY, JUNE 9, from 10a-1p at Dickens Farm Nature Area.  The Longmont Water Fair is a free, family-focused, arts+science educational event that teaches about water’s journey from mountain to home. Water, as an educational topic, is a core part of the science curriculum at the St Vrain Valley School District; we have designed this Water Fair to specifically address learning objectives from that curriculum. It is preschool and elementary students and their families that we have in mind! The event will include hands-on science activities, art projects, live performances, water conservation resources, and a “scavenger hunt” for participants to complete for prizes. More information about the event can be found at https://www.coloradowaterstories.org/waterfair

A message from our Campus Supervisor, Alicia Sheahan Hall[email protected].

This summer Spark! will be having a construction project. During the summer months our playgrounds are typically open to the public for use, but this summer the entire site will be inaccessible. This is because we will have construction materials and equipment around the perimeter of the school.  We apologize for this inconvenience, and are excited for the much needed updates to our school that will benefit our students for many years to come. If any parent see a safety concern please reach out to me: [email protected]

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION on INFINITE CAMPUS: Here is the link for Registration for the 2024-2025 preschool year at Spark! Discovery Preschool: 24-25 SVVSD Registration Link

Kindergarten Enrollment– To enroll your child into Kindergarten they must be 5 before October 1st of this year. You may fill out registration for kindergarten online at the school of your choice or at the SVVSD website. As your student enters kindergarten we will be sending your child’s cumulative folder to the school that they are enrolled at for kindergarten, as long as they are enrolled in another SVVSD elementary school. A Cumulative folder is a file that contains general information about a student such as birth certificate, immunization records and proof of address along with other personal documents. If enrolling outside of SVVSD, parents will need to call the next school and ask them to reach out to Spark! if they need additional information.
