Join us for our preschool Art Show at SPARK! DISCOVERY PRESCHOOL – SAVE THE DATE
We will celebrate all the learning we did this year in our STEM unit called “Expressing Ourselves Through Art.” You can view your child’s art projects, which will be with their class display.
On Thursday, April 3 from 3:10 – 4:30 pm (Main Event) in the halls of the school. Class art will be displayed outside of each teacher’s preschool class in our school’s hallways. Preschool teachers will be there from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
On Friday, April 4 8:00 am – 11:30 am (Self-Guided) the art show at Spark! Discovery Preschool will be open for self-guided family visit for anyone wanting to stop in and view all of the great projects before they are taken down. A small number of outstanding student work will be selected for display in our school’s portion of the SVVSD district-wide art show at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. The SVVSD Art Show will be held from April 15–20, 2025 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall in Longmont (9595 Nelson Road). The event is free and open to the public. For students selected for the district-wide art show, there will be an artists’ night open house at the fairgrounds on Thursday, April 17 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
Enjoy Araya K.’s (age 3) award winning colored-pencil Art project, recognized in the SVVSD 2024 art show.
Warmly – Paige Gordon, Principal, Spark! Discovery Preschool ([email protected])

A message from our Health Clerk, Amanda Rivera
Hello Spark! Discovery Preschool families: Here are some FAQ’s about the General Health Appraisal. If you receive a letter regarding the form, this could be a notice that it is OR will be expiring soon.
FAQs:
~ I turned that in at the beginning of the year. Can you check and make sure you have it?
In the letter that you received from me, at the bottom of the page, there is a box with information. I will indicate in that box if it is expired, will be expiring, or if I do not have it at all. There are also dates written for when the form will be expiring or has expired.
~I sent that to the doctor and turned it in this year. I saw that it was signed by the doctor in August, so why am I getting this again?
The form is valid for 1 calendar year from the date of the last exam. In the center of the form, where the physician fills out information, a date is written for the last exam. The expiration is 1 year from that date. Please note that it is valid for 1 calendar year and not for the school year.
~I can’t get an appointment for another month or 2 because that is my student’s birthday and insurance/ or the doctor won’t make the appointment until then. Is that ok?
We completely understand how insurance companies and annual exams are scheduled and dictated based on the last exam. We try to get notices out with time to schedule before the form expires because I also understand doctor offices (and life in general) can get busy.
~ I already got this form and I have an appointment scheduled, why did I get another one?
Please give me a call or send me an email with the date of the appointment so that I can make note of it and save sending you another form at 720-652-7906.
Give me a call or email me with any questions or concerns you may have
Amanda Rivera, [email protected] or at 720-6582-7906.

A Message from our Campus Supervisor, Kara Mahan
It might feel like spring outside, but did you know that March is typically Colorado’s snowiest month! Our weather patterns will vary regularly and rapidly over the next few weeks and even months. It is important that your children are dressed and prepared for these unpredictable changes. Dressing your child in play friendly and independently manageable clothing is preferred for school. Shoes and clothing should also be properly sized for maximum gross motor enjoyment. Additionally, please take a moment to check the extra set of clothing items in your child’s backpack to ensure that they are still meeting these criteria as well. If there are any safety concerns, please contact, Kara Mahan, [email protected] or at 720-652-7906.
