Dear Families,
Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. The week ahead is very busy for our preschoolers! We will be on our final week of our STEM unit Simple Machines and be reading the story Stuck by Oliver Jeffers and then creating a design challenge to figure out what the children would use to get a kite out of a tree. We will be doing the design challenges on Tuesday and Wednesday. The rest of the week we will be reading the story, Bear Says Thanks, and talk about how we are thankful for friends and family. Next week, we are off the entire week for Thanksgiving break. After the break, our schedule will change and we will be having recess at the end of the day. It is not always easy changing our schedule, especially mid-year, but all classes are adjusting schedules due to the new gates on the large playground. This will benefit our class by making one less transition outside and hopefully give us more daily choice time. We are in need of a few donations:5 ounce dixie cupsround colored or white stickers (about 1 inch for a craft)Interesting nature items to share in our science center Please remember the weather has changed and we try to get outside when it is not too cold. It is fun for the children when they are dressed for the weather–hats, gloves/mittens, coats. If you are in need of any winter ourdoor gear, please contact us and we will get what you need. Best,Amy and Sherry
