Walking Field Trip next Thursday, October 17th to the Frederick Police Department! Please sign and return permission forms by this Thursday. Let us know if you’d like to join us for the walk which will take place from about 9:15-11:15.

Please continue to dress for the weather! We try to go out every day if possible.

Don’t forget about Trick or Treat Street on Friday, October 25th 4:30-6 here at Spark. Wear your costumes and come trick or treating here at school!

(Optional) Field Trip to the Makerspace at the Innovation Center in Longmont, Fri, Nov 1st @ 10:15 Join us for a fun-filled day all about about snow! Families must provide transportation to the Innovation Center and stay with their kiddos. Siblings are welcome!

Sometimes parenting can be difficult. Do you need some parenting strategies to end arguing, backtalk, begging, or whining? If you could use some support with family goal setting in this area or others, this is a FREE opportunity to get support!! We are offering a parenting class: Parenting the Love & Logic Way™ Classes are in the cafeteria. Childcare is hosted in the gym.
Cost of class = FREE, sponsored by Spark! Discovery Preschool, facilitated by Cheryl Hamilton, parent coach from the “Family Whisperer”!
Cost for childcare = FREE, sponsored by Spark’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)!

1. Tuesday, Oct 8, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm — Setting Goals and creating defining objectives in order to achieve family goals
2. Tuesday, Oct 15, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm — How to Put an End to Arguing, Back Talk, & Begging
3. Tuesday, Oct 22, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm — How to Set Limits & Stick to Them
4. Tuesday, Oct 29, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm — How to Avoid Power Struggles & Guide Children to Solving Their Own Problems
An outside facilitator will lead these classes and staff won’t be present during the parenting class so families can feel comfortable sharing their struggles.
