Ms. Tori’s Update 11-7-16

Hello Preschool Families!! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the weather!

This week:

We are going to focus on how we can reduce the items that we throw away. During the Eco-cycle presentation, our students learned that every thing we throw away goes into the landfill (a big hole in the earth full of trash). We will be talking about how some items can be recycled and made in to new things. The students have already started recycling the some of the snack items that we use in class like milk cartons and applesauce containers. Next week we are going to be talking more about how we can reuse items and practicing reusing items in the classroom.

Talking about the color red. We are looking for red things in our classroom and outside as well as looking at who is wearing red.

Talking about the number zero. How do we write 0? Looking at the differences between the 0 and the circle.

We are working on the Letters, Tt, Ii, Uu, and Cc. We are going to practice writing them, building them with wood and play dough.

Next week:

Letters: G, S, J, D

The number: 1

The color: Orange

Unit Focus- How can we reuse items?

Important Dates:
