Ms. Amy, Ms. Hilary & Ms. Sam’s Monthly News
We cannot believe that we are already looking at Spring Break. Where has the school year gone?! As a class, we have been working hard on writing our names, learning 4 letters a week, manners, compliments, sight words and, with our last STEM unit, the lifecycles of humans, plants and animals. We had worms in class that we observed and got to plant both marigolds & lima beans so we could watch them sprout. We learned a lot in the last unit and had fun but there is no time to slow down. So off we go to Simple Machines!

Reminders
· School starts at 8:30 am & 12:25 pm each day. The time before class allows us to get the classroom set up for the day. If you choose to bring your child into the classroom at drop off (due to cold weather or needing the bathroom) please aim to by in class only 5 minutes early. Thank you for the understanding.
· Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather and comes with a coat, gloves and a hat. We do go outside if the weather permits.
· When it is really cold out, you’re always welcome to sign in at the front office and bring your child to class inside as opposed to waiting outside of our door at drop-off.
· Please check your child’s backpack daily and especially on Thursdays for important information.
· Remember to collect the items from your child’s Thursday folder and then to send the folder back on Monday. We put papers in it throughout the week.
· READ, READ, READ and fill out your monthly reading log as you do. Your student can turn in a completed log for a prize. MyON is also a great reading option. Your account information should be on the front of your child’s Thursday folder.
