Hello Families,
We are off to a great start! We are learning all about our school community. Inside our classroom we are learning the rules for circle time, how to play in centers together, our schedule, and how to clean up. We have also practiced walking to and playing on the different playgrounds as well as using the hall bathroom. The students met our class dog Biscuit last week and we read Biscuit Goes to School and Biscuit Finds a Friend. We are sorting and talking about colors and will continue to read and sing Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes as well as sing this color song that we learned, (sung to Mary Had a Little Lamb) “If you’re wearing blue today, blue today, blue today, If you’re wearing blue today, stand up and say, “Hooray!” We have been taking turns rolling a color cube in order to decide which color to sing about. Here are some reminders:1. Please send or email a family photo.2. Some students have been bringing in personal water bottles and it has really been working well at snack time. Please make sure your child’s name is on the water bottle. Please only send in leak-proof bottles. Ms. Sherry and I look forward to seeing your children and your family tomorrow!
