Polly has degrees in Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 

Polly is a Colorado native happy to be home again after years of traveling across the country as a military spouse. She once held a teaching certificate in 3 states at the same time! She has three adult children. She loves to learn and has been a life-long learner earning degrees in Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, she is enrolled in an Early Childhood master’s degree program focusing on dual language learners at the University of Colorado at Denver. She attends workshops, conferences to keep up to date on best practices in education. Her first career was in counseling but teaching is now her passion. During her teaching career, she taught preschool-5th grade (except 2nd grade) but preschool is her favorite grade to teach. She creates a safe and loving learning environment for our students’ first year of school to encourage a love for school and learning during the many years that follow preschool. She believes children learn best through play so she can be found creating new games to teach learning concepts in her classroom before & after school. Her hobbies include downhill skiing, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, and reading.
