Paige Gordon is the Administrator at Spark! Discovery Preschool, since opening in 2013. Paige, a graduate of St. Vrain Schools, has 26 years of experience in education.  For the last four years, Paige has worked collaboratively with the community, staff members, and students to create our district's first STEM-based preschool.

Previous to being at Spark! Discovery Preschool, she served as principal of Alpine Elementary International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, St. Vrain School District’s first elementary IB program. Additionally, she has 16 years of teaching experience in Colorado and Texas, in urban and suburban areas, a charter school, IB and Core Knowledge schools. She has opened five new schools as a teacher and administrator. Prior to opening Spark! Discovery Preschool, she helped author St. Vrain's successful Federal Race-to-the-Top STEM grant for the Skyline High School feeder system in her role as STEM Coordinator for SVVSD. During the first 4 years of existence, she created and directed Innovation Academy for a Smarter Planet, a STEM partnership between IBM--Boulder, Skyline High School STEM Academy, CU Teach, and St. Vrain Valley Schools. This program incorporates human-centered Design Thinking Process from the d.school at Stanford University and inquiry-based learning experiences for SVVSD students and staff. The program was recognized by Cecilia Munoz--Director of the Domestic Policy Council with the White House, Jared Polis—US Representative for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District, Dr. Rick McMasters—STEM advocate and Project Management Thought Leader with IBM University Programs Worldwide, and Brandon Shaffer-- former President of the Colorado State Senate representing Senate District 17.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family (including her husband and daughter), friends, and dogs. She also enjoys DIY projects, reading, gardening, and traveling--especially when a beach is involved.
