Dear Preschool Families,                                                       

I hope you and your children enjoy the fall weather this weekend!  I wanted to remind you of a few things that will be happening next week. 

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Door Change

Drop off-Pick-up will now be at Door #4 on the West side of the building.  Please see the email concerning the change.  This door opens to a foyer directly next to our classroom and will avoid heavy traffic through the front entrance.  We greatly appreciate your flexibility regarding this change.   

Teacher Conferences

Teacher conferences are Mon, Tue, and Wed October 2, 3 & 4.  The Conference Scheduling Information Request form went home yesterday in your child’s Thursday folder.  Starting Tuesday, September 26th I will begin scheduling conferences.  To consider your time preferences, I will need your completed and returned form by then.  I will do my best to accommodate your preferences.

PTO Fundraiser

Our PTO fundraising information was included in your child’s Thursday folder.  We encourage you look through the information and consider how you can support Spark!

Update

This week we studied water transportation.  We learned about different kinds of vehicles that travel on water.  We also learned ways that boats move through the water.  The children were very excited about racing their sailboats and were good sports. They demonstrated cognitive skills of attending and persisting in learning new things. 

This week’s focus will be:

STEM Unit: Land Transportation

Shape: Rectangle

The PATHS lesson will help children understand that all emotions should be valued and are OK.

We will also be visiting the Makerspace this week.
