Spark! Discovery Preschool offers five-day-a-week preschool programs, giving families more opportunities for consistent learning and connection. Families can choose from a variety of high-quality options, including half-day morning and afternoon sessions, as well as full-day programs.

The Colorado Universal Preschool application is available within St. Vrain’s application and families interested in St. Vrain’s programming are encouraged to use our application form. Preschool placements are first come, first serve. Registering early increases the opportunity of placement at a family’s school of choice.
2026-2027 Preschool Matching Process Timeline:
Please note: These dates are subject to change based on state and district updates.
Registration:
- Dec. 9: ALL preschool registration begins (district and UPK applications will open – the UPK registration link will be embedded in our district application).
- Feb 2: Pre-registered families informed of their matches by UPK (ONLY applies to returning students turning 4 on or before Oct. 1, families with siblings enrolled in St Vrain schools, and parents of 4 yr olds who work in the district).
- Feb 25: First Round families informed of their matches by UPK (students who applied between Dec. 9th to Mid February are included in this matching round).
- March 24: Second Round families informed of their matches by UPK (students who applied between February 25 and mid March are included in this matching round).
- April 1: Direct enrollment begins.
2026-2027 Preschool Rates
- Part-Time Preschool: $640.00/month
- Second Half of Full-Day Preschool (for families not qualifying for full-day through UPK): $765.00/month
- Full-Day Preschool: $1,450.00/month
Universal Preschool Information:
Colorado’s Universal Preschool (UPK) program provides free preschool for children who will be four-years-old on or before Oct 1 of the school year they are enrolling. Through UPK, families can receive up to 15 hours a week of state-funded preschool, with the option to add more hours through tuition.
