Hello Preschool Families!!  

    We hope that you enjoyed your weekend. It was also great seeing all of you and speaking about your wonderful children during parent-teacher conferences this week.

A Week in Review:

•  We worked more on our unit on Nursery Rhymes. We talked about “Itsy Bitsy Spider”, “Little Miss Muffet”, “Muffin Man” and “London Bridge.” We read and sang the poems as well as acting them out.
•  We talked about the number eleven. How do we write eleven, 11? Can we find 11 objects?
• We talked about cylinders. We looked at what shapes we put together to make a cylinder. We also found cylinders in our classroom.
• We worked closely with the letters Xx, Yy and Zz. We practiced writing these letters with magna-doodles and finding the letters in our Nursey Rhyme journals.
• Our sight-word this week was Me.  We wrote it with chalk and found the word while reading.
•  We talked about the color we make when we mix red and yellow together. We looked who was wearing the color and where we could find it in our classroom and outside.

•    The color:  Coloring Mixing : Green
• Sight words: Like
• STEM Unit: Nursery Rhymes: We will be talking about “Humpty Dumpty” and “Jack and Jill”. We will also be looking at friendship for Valentine’s Day.
