Ms. Tori’s Update 2-26-18

Hello Preschool Families!!

We hope that you enjoyed your weekend.

A Week in Review:

  •  We worked more on our unit on Nursery Rhymes. We talked more about “Humpty Dumpty.” We also started our Design Challenge. We need to design a way for Humpty Dumpty to stay safe when he fell off the wall.
  •  We talked about the number thirteen, 13. How do we write 13? Can we find 13 objects?
  • We talked about cones. We looked at what shapes we put together to make a cone. We also found cones in our classroom.
  • We worked closely with the letters Tt, Ii, Uu, Cc. We practiced writing these letters with magna-doodles and finding the letters in our Nursery Rhyme journals.
  • Our sight-word this week was Look.  We wrote it with chalk and found the word while reading.
  •  We talked about the color we make when we mix blue and red together. We looked who was wearing the color and where we could find it in our classroom and outside.

What to Expect when we get back from Break:

  •  Letters: Oo, Qq, Gg, Ss
  • The number: Fourteen, 14
  • The shape: Cone
  •    The color:  Coloring Mixing Review
  • Sight words: Not
  • STEM Unit: Nursery Rhymes: Finish our Design Challenge and Dr. Seuss Week
