Read Across America Week-long Celebration: This is a week, celebrated since 1997, where people bring reading excitement to children of all ages!
Month-long READING CHALLENGE: Your child will receive their normal monthly reading log for the month of April. When it’s returned, completed, your child will get a small prize at the end of the month! Reading to children every day is one of the most beneficial things a parent can do together with their child(ren).
Monday, April 1: CRAZY HAT or CRAZY HAIR DAY! It’s a chance to wear your craziest hat or craziest hair! Students can become Thing 1, Thing 2, Cindy Lou Who, The Lorax, Grinch, Sam-I-Am, JoJo McDodd, the Zax, Glotz, or anything they like! We will read Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? which emphasizes a lot of interesting sounds!
Tuesday, April 2: Movement Activity! To celebrate on this day, we’ll read The Foot Book, and we’ll have special movement activities.
Wednesday, Apr 3: Mathematics Madness We’ll have special mathematics activities and read 1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
Thursday – Friday, Apr 4-5: Green Eggs and Ham Days! To celebrate reading this day, we’ll read Green Eggs and Ham, and those that can or want to, will try them as a snack! |

The Spring Carnival is always a big hit with Spark! families, so we hope you can make it! There will be unlimited play wristbands for purchase, as well as food tickets. Be on the lookout for presale order forms for discounted unlimited play wristbands and food tickets! Kona Ice food truck will be just outside the school during the Carnival!! They will be selling shaved ice in a variety of flavors in $3, $4, and $5 cup sizes. They will accept cash or credit card, and 20% of sales go back to the school! |
