Hello families, I can’t believe it’s already 2020. I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday break full of lovely memories, and plenty of rest. Our preschool students have jumped right back into the swing of things and we have been having a great week. This week we did a sequencing activity on how to brush your teeth (as we have been talking about health and wellness). We read a story to students, then they had to cut out visuals that follow correct sequence and glue them in the correct order. Tuesday, is our music and movement day and this week we did rhythm sticks which the students always enjoy. On Wednesday, we practiced writing our name and played a rhyming game. Again, I am happy to say that we have seen so much growth in the students over the course of the school year. As we are studying health and wellness, we have talked about the importance of having exercise or busy bodies. We have talked about the importance of a good nights sleep, and next week we will discuss the importance of eating healthy foods. As always, reinforcing this at home will make it more meaningful for all of the students. If you are planning on returning to Spark for another year of high-quality preschool for the 2020-2021 school year, open enrollment begins January 6th and runs to January 24th.
