Our Community Garden on our Large Playground

Our school garden is a STEM-based early childhood collaboration between staff, families/parents, and students. It is supported by The Spark! Discovery Preschool Parent-Teacher Organization, The Weld Trust, and SVVSD Operations and Maintenance Department. The PTO supports the garden through purchases, mini-grants, and in weeding / maintenance / planting experiences annually. The Weld Trust, has provided grant funding in the past. The SVVSD Operations and Maintenance Dept. supports us in getting irrigation running each spring. Our staff and students work to seed, plant, and grow the garden so it produces flowers and vegetables in late summer and the fall.

We share our produce with our families by posting photos of what we have picked on our social media outlets, in a first-come, first-serve manner.
