Ms. Marie’s Update 11/21/18

Dear Preschool Families and Friends,                                                           

We hope you are enjoying the Thanksgiving break with your families! 

This week we will begin our new STEM Unit on Music.  The children will be learning all about sounds including the science of sounds, tempo/rhythm/pitch, how sounds make us feel, and musical instruments.  The STEM Unit Family Letter is attached to this email. 

We will also be teaching a Healthy Learning Paths lesson, Ava the Avocado this Wednesday.

We are in need of some food donations for this lesson.  Here’s a list of what we need per class:

2 ripe avocados

1 plum tomato

2 cloves of garlic pressed

1 lime juiced

I will have a sign-up sheet at drop off on Monday November 26^th.  We need the items the next day, Tuesday November 27^th.  If you can’t, it’s no problem at all. 

Important Notes:

Please remember to sign one copy of your child’s Individual Learning Plan and return it to Ms. Marie in your child’s Thursday folder.  If you have questions or concerns about the Plan, please contact Ms. Marie and I will be happy to talk to you. 

I will turn in the Scholastic book order by November 30^th.

Both classes have earned enough Starpowers to have a parachute party Thursday, November 29^th!  Way to go!
