Parents and the staff of Spark! have always believed that a collaborative partnership is extremely important in the total educational process for children. Not only are the parents of our school community-minded, but also they are actively involved in and supportive of our school, students, and staff.
Our school is implementing required volunteer training this year for all classroom volunteers. If there are family members wanting to volunteer in our school during school and childcare hours, they must take the required training once prior to volunteering. For families attenting multiple years, the training is only required once.
We will host several training / orientation sessions occasionally throughout the year as new families consistently enroll in preschool throughout the year. Volunteers are people who want to spend time in the classroom to complete tasks, assist children and the teachers, and come in to school to support on a regular basis. Coming to a class celebration is not considered volunteering – it is considered attending a classroom event. These sessions are targeted for adults and adults with infants so attention can be paid to the important aspects of training.
Here are the dates/times for the training:
Monday, August 13, from 4:00 – 5:30 pm – Completed
Friday, September 21 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am – Completed
Monday, October 22 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm – Completed
We didn’t schedule any during November and December because sessions haven’t typically been well attended during those two months.
Friday, January 18th from 9:00 am – 10:30 am – Completed
Tuesday, February 19 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm –
Friday, March 15 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm
