Ms. Marie’s Update 09/16/18

Dear Preschool Families and Friends,                                                           

Request: If anyone operates or knows someone who operates a sanitation or recycling truck that would be willing to come to the school to provide a demonstration for our children for our Reduce/Reuse/Recycle STEM unit, please contact me! 

We are continuing our STEM unit and will be focusing on recycling.  We will also be covering the following:

Color: Blue

Shape: Oval

Number: 4       

Our PATHS lesson this week will be centered around the emotion of anger and that feelings are ok. 

 

Important Dates

The Love and Logic class has just met once and is a great opportunity for parents!  

Please consider supporting our school through the Believe fundraiser and the McDonald’s mini fundraiser.  We would love parent volunteers in our classrooom.  See below for a parent volunteer training to be held this Friday at 9:00am.

Thurs, Sept 20, in the PM – Announced LockDOWN drill

Thurs, Sept 20, 6:00 – 7:30 pm – Parenting with Love and Logic class #2 of #4- Free class series , with babysitting provided

Fri, Sept 21, 9:00 – 10:30 am – Parent volunteer training.   

Fri, Sept 21:  Believe fundraiser begins

Mon – Tues, Sept 24 – 25: Hearing and Vision screenings·      

Tues – Wed, Sept 25 – 26:  Individual Picture Day

Tues, Sept 25, 4:00 – 8:00 pm – PTO Mini-fundraiser – McDonalds.

Healthy Learning Paths will be coming to our classroom on Wednesdays from now on.  It will be a partnership between me and the Healthy Learning Path’s teacher.

                Nov Wed 7- Tools to be Cool – calming strategies 


                Nov Wed 28 – Ava the Avocado – Healthy fats

              Dec Wed 5 — Let’s play 

Please email or bring in a family picture.  We haven’t received any.  We will be happy to make a copy and just post the copy on our classroom family tree.
