Kiersten Pierpoint is an Early Childhood Educator at Spark! Discovery Preschool. A Longmont native, Kiersten earned her Bachelor’s degree at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and then stayed back east to start her family. She has always loved the Rocky Mountains however and so was excited to move her family to Longmont long ago. She began working in the St. Vrain Valley School District as an after school childcare director and soon realized she wanted to inspire children to be lifelong learners through teaching. Kiersten attended the University of Northern Colorado to earn her Master’s degree in Elementary Education and then went on to earn an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. She loves using literature and exploration to get her students excited about learning. In the summers, Kiersten works in the children’s department of the Longmont Public Library which allows her to look at inspiring readers from another perspective. In her free time she enjoys reading novels, playing cards and board games, and spending time with her two children.
