Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences: Jan 30, Feb 1, and Feb 5, 2024
1/12/24
Dear Spark! Discovery Preschool Families,
Our 2024 Winter Conferences are fast approaching. Preschool conferences play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and supportive educational environment. They provide a valuable platform for families and teachers to closely monitor a child’s developmental progress, understand individual needs, and build strong relationships. These conferences enable timely identification of potential challenges, allowing for proactive intervention. By tailoring teaching strategies and setting educational goals collaboratively, preschool conferences ensure a holistic approach to a child’s learning journey. Additionally, they encourage active family involvement, celebrate achievements, and contribute to the overall success of a child’s early education.
Conferences will be held in person at Spark! Discovery Preschool, 555 8th Street, Frederick, on the following dates/times:
- Tuesday, Jan 30 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- Thursday, Feb 1 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- Monday, Feb 5 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
All teachers will take a dinner break from 5:30 pm- 6:10 pm each of these evenings. Each conference is scheduled for 20 minutes.
To sign up for conferences, use our electronic system:
- 1. Visit Spark! Discovery Preschool Meet the Teacher and sign in. For security purposes, this link has not been placed on this message on the school’s website. Families should contact the school if they need it re-emailed. Families will enter in some personal information about the parents (name, email, etc.). Enter information about your child’s first name, last name, and student ID. The Student ID can be found on Infinite Campus account or call the office at 720-652-7906 so we can help.
- 2. Select the preferred time and date with the child’s preschool teacher. Continue with prompts to schedule a conference by selecting the child’s preschool teacher. Continue with prompts to schedule a conference by selecting the child’s teacher and a time to meet.
- 3. If an interpreter is needed, please select this option when signing up for a conference time in the electronic system.
- 4. A conference reminder will be sent to the email address provided to the first email address provided to the system by the parent/family.
- 5. For families with twins or multiple siblings enrolled, log-in separately for each child, as they have individual student IDs.
The conference scheduler system, “Meet the Teacher,” will open Monday, January 15 starting at 8:00 am and conferences slots for each teacher will fill in a first come / first serve manner.
If families and parents have dual-custody households, please make every effort to schedule one conference if possible, as it is important to present a united front as parents with children. If for some reason it is better to have two separate conferences for a child, each parent will need to schedule their own conference and reach out to the teacher to avoid confusion ahead of time.
Families need to reserve a conference time by Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 3:00 pm as the system will close for reservations. After 3:00 pm on 1/30/24, to schedule an appointment call the school.
Call with any questions or for assistance to our main office at 720-652-7906, or reach out to your child’s teacher.
Thank you,
Stacey Petering, Principal’s Secretary
