Bio: Eden Daugherty, a graduate of St. Vrain Valley Schools, moved from Pennsylvania to sunny Colorado when she was nine years old, but she has always felt like a mountain girl at heart. After graduating from CU Boulder in 2004 with a BA in English, Eden was ready to discover a career that made her happy, and she has always had a passion for working with children. So in 2005 she began the Friends Program in Boulder, while simultaneously earning her Masters in Educational Psychology at The University of Colorado at Denver. In 2009, Eden made the move to SVVSD, and in 2012, she earned her endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education, also through The University of Colorado at Denver. Eden feels fortunate to witness the amazing discoveries that children make, and she greatly enjoys guiding them through their process of learning about the world. In her free time, Eden enjoys playing in the mountains, visiting hot springs, practicing yoga, and spending time with family--- especially her son.
