News: We have had a wonderful October learning about Fall and health/exercise. Miss Denise will be bringing in some gymnastic equipment next week to help us learn and practice different types of exercise.  We focused on the letters U, C, O, and Q in the month of October. You can help your student at home by discussing the sounds these letters make and words that begin with the same sound.

Curriculum

*Students have been practicing following 2-step directions (example: hang your coat up and take your shoes off). It would be great reinforcement if you incorporate this into your daily routine.

*Our big idea for math this month is counting. Counting can be incorporated into many daily routines in the home such as snack, clothing when doing laundry, dishes when setting the table, etc.

*We will continue our health unit through November and when we return from Thanksgiving break we will begin a unit on Pets.

Important Dates

·      Pajama Day: Thursday, November 12. Bring a dollar to donate to PTO.

·      Canned Food Drive: November 6-20. Classes will compete and the class with the most food donated will receive a prize.

·      Book/Toy Drive: November 6-December 11. Bring an unwrapped book or a toy to donate to be distributed to kids in need in our school.
