NewsWe had a busy November!  This month we focused on the letters Jj, Kk, Ll, and Mm. We also have been working on recognizing numbers 1-5 and counting groups ofitems from 1-5. We have wrapped up our unit on Friends and Family. CurriculumOur next unit of focus is Simple Machines. We will be focusing on concepts such as wheels, levers, and ramps. Because this unit is short we will not be doing a family project. The letter focus for December includes Nn and Oo. We will continue to focus on numbers 1-5 as well as our big idea of number operations (looking at sets and discussing how many, more, and fewer.) We will also focus on the story The Gingerbread Man. Winter CelebrationWe will have a Winter Celebration on Thursday 12/20 at 10:30-11:10 (AM) and 2:25-3:05 (PM) We will have a special snack, a craft, and outdoor play at the end. For our snack we will be decorating gingerbread cookies. We will need sprinkles, m & m’s, etc. If you would like to donate one of these items for the celebration please let me know. Families are welcome to join us! Book/Pajama DriveWe have begun our book/pajama drive to benefit students and their families at Spark.
