Ms. Amy Kuesel’s Update 9-2-19

Dear Families,

I hope you are doing well and enjoying your long labor day weekend.   The children had a wonderful week where we continued to open new centers in the classroom.  They all loved creating in our STEM center, playing with water in the sensory table and watercoloring in the art area.  The children worked hard on their Twiggle turtle puppets, which were sent home on Thursday.  Twiggle is part of our PATHS curriculum, which focuses on social-emotional development.  This past week we discussed  the feelings happy, sad and mad and next week we will focus on sharing and how to ask a friend to play.   We also plan on going to the makerspace area of our school on Thursday, which is always a favorite for the children. Please remember to return the blue and white folders in your child’s backpack tomorrow and to send water bottles with names on them.  We are going to start using the water bottles during snack time to cut down on paper product waste. We could use materials for our STEM area, such as paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, plastic lids, plastic containers for creating. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns, Best,Ms. Amy & Ms. Allison
